What do I do if I receive an Adobe Digital Editions error?
Many of our ebook providers require the use of Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) to read downloaded ebooks. You will need to create an Adobe ID for ADE before downloading ebooks. See the link below for information on creating an Adobe ID.

A common error patrons see is E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER.
This error message indicates that you are trying to open a book that was already downloaded to another Adobe ID under the current download period. If you download an ebook without an Adobe ID, the download will create an anonymous activation. If you try to access the download on a new device, you will receive the error above.
Unfortunately, UT Libraries cannot offer support for issues with Adobe IDs or Adobe Digital Editions. We recommend creating an Adobe ID BEFORE downloading any ebooks to Adobe Digital Editions.
