What can I do if a book is checked out, missing, or lost?

Answer

If an item you need is checked out, you may place a recall on it by clicking the "Physical Item" request option under the "Availability and Request" tab. This changes the original due date to 10 days from the day the item is recalled. Once returned, the item will be held at the Public Services desk for you to pick up and you will be notified by email.

If the item you need is missing or lost, you may request the item through Resource Sharing. Be sure to note in the request form if our copy of the item is missing, lost, or checked out.  Resource Sharing asks that you allow 1 to 3 weeks for delivery time. Course textbooks are not eligible for interlibrary loan.  You may also suggest that the Libraries purchase additional copies or an e-book.
