When I click to download an article, I am asked to pay. Why is this?

Answer

There are couple of reasons this may happen:

1. If you accessed the article or journal through OneSearch, then something may have gone wrong with our subscription. Contact Research Assistance and we can work to restore access.

2. If you come across this on the open web, you may not have entered the resource via the library’s subscription.  Go to OneSearch and search the article title and/or the journal title to see if we have a subscription. (This is especially important if you are off-campus).

3. If there is no record in OneSearch, then the library may not have a subscription to the content. However, you can request the material through Resource Sharing.

If you would like us to confirm access, contact Research Assistance.
